Dear All

This is my first monthly Newsletter and I am very excited to share with you my new yoga and meditation website kmyoga.com.

Thank you to everyone who contributed testimonials and to the teachings of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, which inspired me to create this yoga site.

As well as this site informing people of my classes, workshops, retreats and teacher training programs, I am hoping that it will provide a resource for those who are curious to deepen their knowledge and expand their awareness of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation.

I decided to include a separate section on Meditation on my website as I often have students ask me for specific meditations to practice,so I have chosen a few which I feel are relevant.

My monthly newsletter will include a variety of yoga meditations, kriyas, diets, music, books and anything else of interest, so please send me your suggestions or requests.

This year I will be leading a Kundalini Yoga workshop and open class at the Yoga Show 30th October and 1st November. All the details are below, so I hope you will join me.

I welcome any feedback, so please contact me if you have any queries and forward this link www.kmyoga.com to anyone who you think might be interested.

Below are a few suggestions for this month.
Enjoy!

Love and Blessings

Music
If you haven’t heard Snatam Kaur yet you are missing out! Her voice is angelic and uplifting and her music is a blend of Gurbani and Western Music. Her CD’s are ideal to compliment your personal practice of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation and you can order her music at www.spiritvoyage.com

Books
I highly recommend ‘The Essence of Kundalini Yoga’ by Guru Dharam and Darryl O’Keeffe. This book is beautifully detailed and gives a clear guided description of each chakra and corresponding kriya as well as a selection of meditations. Perfect for a beginner or anyone curious to know more about chakras. It can be ordered at Amazon.

Diet
Mung beans and rice is a good cleansing diet for Winter, giving plenty of nourishment. Easy to digest, it is good for the kidneys, colon and digestive organs. Eat only mung beans and rice for 30 days and include cooked vegetables (please contact Kathryn for a more detailed recipe). May eat fruit and take Yogi Tea between meals.

Kriya
Sun Energy (please see P.34 ‘Transitions to a Heart-Centered World through Kundalini Yoga and Meditations’ of Yogi Bhajan by Gururattan Kaur). ‘This set brings in the sun energy for expansiveness, enthusiasm and a clear action-oriented mind. It also centers you and aids digestion and body purification.’ It can be ordered at www.yogatech.com

Meditation
Meditation for Projection and Protection from the Heart (please see P.132 of ‘Transitions to a Heart-Centered World’ ordered at www.yogatech.com) ‘This meditation gives you an enchanting, magnetic personality, with many unexpected friends!’ It uses the Mangala Charn Mantra – Ad Gurey Name, Jugad Gurey Name, Sat Gurey Name, Siri Guru Devey Name. A beautiful version to chant along with can be found on Snatam Kaur’s CD Prem.
